This is the original sketch of the artwork called " Waterfall_Castle". Actually, I scanned this hand drawing and I did colors over it in photoshop.

Here is the final result:

Hehe, you too seem to enjoy working out your concepts with ink pens :giggle: I love them, ink pens and markers are a great way to plan major pieces, they just seem very alive and direct :D

It's nice that you show your sketches here  But it's also nice to see how you progress! I just looked at the finished waterfall castle matte again, and as cool as it is, I can definitely see the progress which you made since then, very inspiring :D

And hey, I just noticed that you did the matte painting on the burma aid ad! That was some impressive work, I loved the clip

Bon travail! :highfive:

Bonjour Daniel,

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I try to show also the before and after version (concept to final image) for each images. Unfortunately, I have to upload sketchs on deviant art as a separate and unique artwork. On my web site, you can usually see evertything, from begining to end under the same page.

Burma Aid as was very interesting to do. I was also proud to help, in a certain way, on this terrible conflict in this country.

Bonsoir Frederic!

Yeah, I guess the fact that you have to upload each picture as a seperate deviation, does not always help. I don't think I have been to your page in a while, so I will certainly take some time now to browse through it. It's just always interesting to see the process, both of the painting itself and of how it is then used further down in the pipeline with 3d elements and projection techniques.

I can imagine that you were proud to work on that. It had a cause, after all, and it was simply very well done, too. And I love watching such clips and trying to think of how they were done, haha :D After all I want to try and animate a shot too, at one point.
